Humor e preconceito linguístico nas paginas do facebook e instagram "Português da Depressão"

Abstract

The language in its context of use presents variations motivated by factors such as time, geographic location, the social and economic profile of the speaker, among other conditions. The general objective of this research is to identify linguistic prejudice associated with humor, analyzing the individual's behaviors and manifestations on the “Portuguese of depression” pages on Instagram and Facebook, in light of variation phenomena. As specific objectives we seek to understand the concept of language and its variation process; Identify the Instagram page, “Portuguese of depression” through user posts and comments, linguistic prejudice and conceptions of language; Show the relationship between the media and the standardization of linguistic prejudices based on humorous texts. The analyzes were carried out using prints taken from the aforementioned pages, and were based on a reflection that associates the media and humor, highlighting how this association produces linguistic prejudice based on the publications made by the pages that address the diversity of writing and speech of speakers from different parts of the country. The research proposal is to analyze the relationship between the triad of humor, media and linguistic prejudice when it comes to the speaker's linguistic identity. To obtain a theoretical basis, the work was based on authors in the field of sociolinguistics such as: Willian Labov, Possenti, Scherre, Bortoni, among others. Through analysis, it was possible to confirm the power of influence that the media has, especially when the focus is to present the variationist traits of individuals' speech and writing as something joking, laughable. This media approach camouflages the prejudice imbued in these humorous pages and supports the belief in the social imagination that there is a single language and that any trace of variation is seen as an error, something to be fought against
