Abstract

In contemporary times, the Brazilian political, social and economic situation is divided into ideologically different poles, and in addition to this, the dramatic situation of the pandemic on a global scale requires that governments and society adopt attitudes that do not further aggravate social problems, especially those related to the exclusion of social rights and opportunities for access to information. Researchers, educators, managers and students, amid social isolation, are experiencing an increase in the use of virtual learning environments. YouTube, Google Meet and Google Classroom offer numerous resources that, when used in education, demonstrate didactic possibilities for learning, especially during periods of social isolation. Videos, transmitted through YouTube and Google Meet, can, for example, be collected and organized into playlists, lists This work records the works approved and presented during the 2nd edition of the Piauí International Tourism Webinar, an event that took place simultaneously with the 6th UESPI Tourism Week. The event is organized by the Center for Studies, Research and Projects (NETUR) and the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism at UESPI, in partnership with the Potiguar Tourism Observatory (Opotur), and consolidated the importance and permanence of spaces for dialogue and interaction between researchers from the state of Piauí, Brazil and other parts of the world who are dedicated to studying the tourism phenomenon, in its conceptual aspects, implications and trends. In total, the abstract book includes 39 papers, including simple and expanded abstracts, from teaching and research institutions from all regions of Brazil, with a concentration of studies from the Northeast region, on a wide variety of topics, such as tourism planning, tourism and the environment, government incentives in the area of ​​culture, community-based tourism, gastronomy, among other subjects. Thus, the work contributes to the consolidation of tourism research in the context of Piauí and Brazil, offering a current overview of studies involving this theme.
