I ENPEV – Encontro Pedagógico Virtual: educação em tempos de crise

Abstract

In contemporary times, the Brazilian political, social and economic situation is divided into ideologically different poles, and in addition to this, the dramatic situation of the pandemic on a global scale requires that governments and society adopt attitudes that do not further aggravate social problems, especially those related to the exclusion of social rights and opportunities for access to information. Researchers, educators, managers and students, amid social isolation, are experiencing an increase in the use of virtual learning environments. YouTube, Google Meet and Google Classroom offer numerous resources that, when used in education, demonstrate educational possibilities for learning, especially during periods of social isolation. Videos transmitted through YouTube and Google Meet can, for example, be collected and organized into playlists, quick lists or favorites, played in real time, and are also a tool for interaction between students and educators. Therefore, we seek to hold the “I VIRTUAL PEDAGOGICAL MEETING OF UESPI - EDUCATION IN TIMES OF CRISIS” with professors, students and staff of the State University of Piauí - UESPI, as well as the community outside the institution using digital tools that allow interaction and construction of knowledge in the midst of the pandemic. To develop such discussions, we had as a general objective: to virtually discuss themes involving education in times of crisis. Specific objectives: to understand the concepts, conceptions, principles and foundations of social themes that involve educational processes; to discuss the current challenges surrounding educational processes; and to reflect on the contributions of education in combating the health and social crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic; The I ENPEV proposed the execution of two modalities of presentation and work, namely: expanded abstract - Poster and scientific article - Oral Communication. The presented works were selected from the classification of nine Working Groups (GT's) focused on the discussion of the theme “Education in Times of Crisis”. Among the papers submitted to the event, 32 were accepted and approved, all focused on discussions around education and the crises that have permeated its context. Education is surrounded by political, economic and social decisions, therefore, our education is also immersed in crises. And it is with the purpose of not remaining in the oppressive “silence” of social, economic and political crises that we seek to create spaces for discussion and construction of knowledge as a form of resistance and struggle.
