V Semana de História e I Simpósio Regional do PROFHISTÓRIA-UESPI: ensino de história e direitos humanos

Abstract

The Proceedings of the I Regional Symposium of PROFHISTÓRIA - UESPI and 5th History Week, had as its theme “Teaching History and Human Rights.” It is a compilation of the complete articles related to the research presented in the Working Groups (WGs). The event was held in person at the State University of Piauí (UESPI), Alexandre Alves de Oliveira Campus (UESPI), located in the city of Parnaíba (PI) between October 13 and 16, 2022. Its realization aimed at the integration, debate and dissemination of the activities carried out within the scope of the Professional Master's Degree in History Teaching (ProfHistória) and the Full Degree Course in History at UESPI in Parnaíba. The central theme of the event was the reflection on the interfaces between the teaching of History and human rights. In view of the current scenario of attacks on basic rights such as life, food and education – accelerated by the pandemic – the aim was to offer a discussion that involved academia, Basic Education teachers and the external community.
