Núcleo de arquivo da Fundação Municipal de Saúde (FMS): uma análise do histórico e catalogação das pastas funcionais

Abstract

The preservation and organization of documents is essential for good management in health institutions that include archives, since document management facilitates the process of locating materials and documents, making it more agile and organized. From this perspective, an analysis was made of the Archive Center of the Municipal Health Foundation located in the city of Teresina- Piauí, with the objective of understanding how the organization and cataloging of functional masses occurs in the Archive Center of the Municipal Health Foundation. In addition, this work also intends to explain the role that the librarian and the archive technician play in the archive center. As a methodology, interviews were conducted with the employees responsible for the Archive Center of the Municipal Health Foundation and bibliographic research for the bibliographic basis of the work. As a result, no document was found that had recorded the emergence of the archive of the Municipal Health Foundation, but with the interviews we had the outline of the entire history of the archive (as far as we know) and its evolution both in terms of its infrastructure and also in the organization of its collection. It is concluded that the archive still presents many challenges to be overcome, both in its infrastructure and also in the digitalization process that it is currently undergoing, challenges that do not depend only on the employees to be overcome, but also on the support of the maintaining entity responsible for the Municipal Health Foundation.
