A educação feminina nas transformações sociais: um olhar bibliográfico

Abstract

This article investigates the significant transformations in female participation in basic and higher education, driven by social, economic, and cultural changes. The introduction highlights the crucial role of these changes in expanding educational opportunities for women, emphasizing that over the past decades, female education has been shaped by feminist movements, alterations in family structures, and broader social transformations. The study's justification underscores the social relevance of the topic, emphasizing that education plays a fundamental role in the development of individuals and societies. Furthermore, it highlights the study's contribution to the advancement of academic knowledge on the relationships between gender and education, with practical implications for public policies and educational practices. The methodology is based on a bibliographical analysis of books and articles that address a discussion on gender and education. The bibliographical research is conducted through documents, scientific articles, and books published between 2002 and 2023. The research problem is outlined through three inquiries: 1. The role of feminist movements and gender studies in the expansion of women's educational opportunities; 2. The impact of changes in family structures on female participation in basic and higher education; 3. The effects of social transformations on female education, especially the feminization of teaching and the presence of women in higher education.The research objectives are clear: to analyze the impact of female participation in basic and higher education levels, understanding how feminist movements contributed to the expansion of educational opportunities, and to analyze the impact of changes in family structures on female participation in education. The research reinforces the importance of the advancements achieved in female participation in education and the labor market. And it reiterates the continuous need to combat persistent inequalities and to promote public policies and educational practices that guarantee gender equity, contributing to the construction of a more just, inclusive society that fully values the potential of all women.
