Oralidade e memória: a voz na fazenda de Paulicéia

Abstract

This dissertation, whose theme is the orality and the memory abstracted from the oral narratives from Paulicéia, Caxingó-Pi, it intended to study the texts produced in this community, from preserved histories by the memory and transmitted through the orality, observing the narrative discourse to communicate their creeds, their religiosity, their daily habits, observing the formal aspects inserted in these texts. These narratives were analyzed, singnaling the relation between orality and memory punctuating the sociocultural diversity inserted daily and in the oral speech of the social group in study, additionally observing the influence exercised by the geographic space and the memory at the identity of the narratives‟ subeject. It is a qualitative study with ethnographic approach. The narratives were selected are appropriate to corpus’ research implemented by theoriticians like: Stuart Hall (2003), Luís da Câmara Cascudo (2006), Paul Zumthor (2010), Roland Barthes (1972), Walter Benjamim (1996), among others. As instrument of data research was used the participant observation and the semistructured interview directed about the narrative genre. A field‟s diary, a camera and a recorder were used for a better fidelity on data collect. It happened with the analyze of data emphasizing the particular way of communication and how this happened with the creeds. In this way, it confirmed that the literature is part of a context that has influence in what is created and recreated, bringing for these actions, basis in the history, in the memory and in the culture that interlace and concretize themselves in the literary esthetic object.
