A representação feminina na obra Sinfonia em branco de Adriana Lisboa

Abstract

In the scope the contemporary Brazilian literature, the present dissertation discusses the feminine representation in the work Sinfonia em branco, by Adriana Lisboa and aims to analyze the relationship between genders, the formation of feminine identity, sexuality and violence in the female universe. They has theoretical perspectives the Feminism and the Cultural Studies. The research is of bibliographical character and has as support the texts of Beauvoir (1986), Butler (2016), Cândido (2013), Duarte (2003), Gonçalves (2015), Hall (2011), Hollanda (1994), Lauretis (1994), Louro (2014), Rocha (2009), Saffioti (2015), Spivak (2010), Zinani (2010 e 2013a), Zolin (2009), among others. Lisboa addresses the existential condition of the woman inserted in the patriarchal context and reveals the type of environment, public and private, that girls and women have for the formation of their identity (s). Lisboa maintains the silence of the discourse and the subjugated condition of the woman, but gives visibility to it through the message of silence, suffering, life and death, whose meaning testifies to what words were prevented from uttering. The reflection on the representation of the woman inserted in the sociocultural context of the XX century also generates the reflection on the existential condition of the woman of the XXI century, mainly regarding the violence perpetrated by the man.
