O ensino de leitura no contexto escolar: um estudo do gênero notícia no 8° ano de uma escola municipal de Buriti dos Lopes-PI

Abstract

During the Portuguese classes we observed that the students show difficulties in understand the reading of different texts. To us, appears the concern of, from the teaching of reading of a gender, to think about strategies which help the student become proficient to read a text. In this sense, the work about the theme THE TEACHING OF READING IN THE SCHOOL CONTEXT: a study of news gender in 8th grade from a municipal school in Buriti dos Lopes-PI searches for analyzing the reading activities proposed into the classroom to verify the reading comprehension of the students. The work enlarge thought about questions like: How do the students understand the texts that they read in reading activities? What genders and strategies of reading does the school give importance in its practices to the students? What is the function of genders to the reading formation of the students in Elementary school with news from newspaper? Which difficulties do the students have after reading texts of news gender? The general objective of the research is to investigate how the reading of news gender can help the reading comprehension of students from the Elementary school in a class of 8th grade. Therefore, we based on theoretical references in Lajolo and Zilbernam (1999), Zilbernam (2009), Marcuschi (2008, 2011), Dolz e Schneuly (2004), PCN (1998), Siqueira and Zimmer (2006) Solé (1998) and Sim-Sim (2007) and other. We collected the data from the activities of reading proposed to the students from the 8th grade from a public school. The results shown that the students to understand better the texts of news that they read they need the mediation of the teacher independent of the reading moments. However, the strategy Before the reading, manifested a general comprehension about news gender independent the activity of reading at school. The strategy During the reading, manifested knowledge of the content the news advertise and, in the strategy After the reading , shown difficulties to register what was read. In the three strategies the students need of activities directed to increase the aspects that they dominate and the specific activities of comprehension of reading of written texts. We want, so, that this work with reading strategies contributes to the phenomenon comprehension of teaching of reading in the school context into the classroom.
