Identidades homoafetivas do negro na literatura brasileira contemporânea

Abstract

This investigative study of literary base about the black people homoaffection in contemporary Brazilian literature intended to analyze the homoaffective identities of black people in Stella Manhattan (1985), by Silviano Santiago, “A Seiva da Vida” (1998), by Éle Semog and O Cafuçu (2012), by Marcos Soares. For this, it was sought to realize the mechanisms used by the authors in the construction of the homoaffetcive black malesubject‟s identities in the aforementioned works and works of previous a esthetic currents from the production of knowledge of social history and gay literature or homoaffetcive theme. Because it is a literary study literature theories were used, centered in the approach of Cultural Studies, since this approach in gender studies, in case of the homoaffective identity and the ethnic studies are considered their research object. On this field of knowledge, it was taken as fundamental literature, Homi Bhabha (1996, 1998), Maria Elisa Cevasco (2003) and other authors. In addition to this approach, were included also studies about the identity of the subject within the meaning of sociological subject, which does not maintain this category as a fixed structure, but moving as the appropriateness of the time and social context, as the theory of Stuart Hall (2014) and Zygmunt Bauman (2005) and others. With regard to gender concepts, sexual identity and homoaffection were taken by ground the ideas contained in Judith Butler (2003) Guacira Lopes Louro (2013), Richard Miskolci (2012), James Green, and Ronald N. Polito (2006), Luiz Mott (2003), João SilverioTrevisan (2002, 2010) and other scholars. From the theory of literature and literary criticism Machado de Assis (1994) and Samuel Rogel (2007). From the afrodescendant criticism were used the writing-experience theory by Conceição Evaristo (2011), the concept of african-brazilian literature, by Eduardo de Assis Duarte and the conceptions of blackness in Kabengele Munanga (1988). The treatment of individuals who identify themselves as homoaffective and black has suffered variations that follows the historical and social change, leaving the imposition of oblivion and condemnation, from the condition of enslaved to the recognition of these social identities. The literature as representative art of social reality followed the same process, although it is slow and prejudiced in the school context as there are situations where the literary works that thematize the homoaffection and black people or black homoaffective people are neither part of textbooks nor the school experience. So, the difference between the canon and the overvaluation of heterosexual love, over the literature that thematizes the culture of ethnic and gender minorities must be broken by the demonstration that the different identities and cultures should be respected in the context of coverage of diversity.
